Video editing has become one of the most useful creative skills a student can learn.
Whether someone wants to make YouTube videos, gaming content, short films, school projects, social media clips, or portfolio work, knowing how to edit properly gives them a real advantage. That is why NEST Creator Academy is launching DaVinci Resolve Foundations, a 6-week beginner video editing course starting August 8 (Age Group 15–18).
This program is designed for students who want to learn video editing from the ground up. No previous editing experience is required.
Over the course of six weeks, students will learn how to navigate DaVinci Resolve, import and organize media, cut and trim clips, build a timeline, add titles and transitions, work with music and audio, apply basic colour correction, and export a finished video.
The course is hands-on from the start. Students will not just watch the instructor explain editing tools. They will actively work on projects, experiment with footage, and build toward a final edited video they can present at the end of the program.
By the end of the course, students will complete a final video project and receive a Certificate of Completion from NEST Creator Academy.
The course is a strong fit for aspiring content creators, YouTubers, gamers, future filmmakers, students interested in media, and anyone who wants to learn a practical creative skill in a structured environment.
